Class 6 - Mr Goulder & Mrs Jeffrey

History: We are continuing to learn about the Maya civilization, developing our enquiry skills and critical thinking. English: This half term we are reading 'The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas' by John Boyne and linking a range of writing opportunities to the text. Maths: This term we will be looking at calculations involving fractions, common factors and prime numbers as well as applying skills to problem solving. We will continue to focus on times tables including related division facts. Music: As before- relates to space French: We develop our work on identity and telling the time. Art: We are looking at architecture and 3 dimensional shapes, linking our work to the Maya topic for our final piece. PE: We will be learning new skills to improve our performance in a range of sports. Computing: We begin with e-safety awareness and shall be using our 'DB Primary' accounts to follow a programming scheme of work as well as gaining proficiency in a range of MS Office programs. Science: This term we are studying 'Earth and Space' which will also have links to the Maya topic.
